Dear Colleagues:
Is there a project or program you've been involved in that others could benefit from knowing about? What sorts of collaborations are happening between your institution and others that may be of interest to the broader membership? What sorts of ideas do you have for new initiatives that DLF should be supporting?
DLF wants your feedback on these questions and others at the upcoming Fall Forum 2009. Consider submitting a proposal for a panel, paper, or birds-of-a-feather (BOF) session by close of business in your time zone on Friday, September 5, 2008 via this SurveyGizmo link: <http://www.surveygizmo.com/s/57743/2saz1>
One more question: Do you know a rising star at your institution whose acumen, enthusiasm, or leadership skills are an inspiration to other staff members? Consider nominating them for a DLF Forum Fellowships for Librarians New to the Profession by sending an e-mail message to Jaime Moore <jmoore "at" diglib "dot" org> with the subject line text "Spring Forum 2008 Fellowship Application: [candidate's name]" with the following attachments:
* Brief personal statement (500 words or less) from the candidate explaining their educational background, what their Digital Library involvement is, why they are excited about Digital Library work, and how they see themselves benefiting from a DLF Forum.
* Cover letter from the nominating institution's University Librarian, Program Director, Division Head, or Associate University Librarian.
* A current résumé of the candidate.
Thanks for your time,
Barrie
DLF Program Manager
