CALL FOR PAPERS
9th International Conference on
Preservation of Digital Objects (IPRES 2012) October 1-5, 2012 Toronto, Ontario, Canada
http://ipres.ischool.utoronto.ca
The University of Toronto Faculty of Information is pleased to host the International Conference on Preservation of Digital Objects (iPRES2012) in Toronto, Canada in October 2012. iPRES2012 will be the ninth in the series of annual international conferences that bring together researchers and practitioners from around the world to explore the latest trends, innovations, and practices in preserving our digital heritage.
Digital Preservation and Curation continues to evolve from a niche activity to an established practice and research field that involves many disciplines and communities. iPRES2012 will re-emphasise that preserving our scientific and cultural digital heritage requires integration of activities and research across institutional and disciplinary boundaries to adequately address the challenges in digital preservation.
iPRES2012 will continue the legacy of previous conferences by further strengthening the link between digital preservation research and practitioners in memory institutions and scientific data centres.
SUBMISSIONS
iiPRES 2012 invites submissions of full and short papers reporting on novel and previously unpublished work. Full papers report innovative research work, while short papers present new relevant challenges and work in progress. All papers will be peer-reviewed by at least 3 members of the Program Committee. The accepted papers will be published in the iPRES2012 proceedings.
Submissions are encouraged for a special session for posters that report on emerging issues or work in progress, and also for demonstrations of innovative systems and solutions.
All contributions will be peer-reviewed. Accepted short-papers, posters and demos will also be published in the iPRES2012 proceedings.
More information, including instructions for submission, will available at the iPRES2012 homepage.
