Hello, all,
The Research Ethics subgroup would appreciate the larger group's eyes on the current glossary/explainer draft: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1W_0IWlhKXZAKKvrHruuTlQDf72W7L0lmUiUTazBYZmI/ Please leave comments by August 31st. My thanks to those who have already worked and/or commented on the draft (in alpha order by surname): Kristin Briney, Gabriel Gardner, Lisa Hinchliffe, Jacob Levernier.
Also a heads-up on a new project for this subgroup: A workgroup led by Lisa Hinchliffe (thank you, Lisa!) will be looking at research ethics vis-a-vis privacy in LIS publication and presentation venues. If you've ever felt unsure how to gauge (or how to show) whether the research outlined in a manuscript or abstract meets professional privacy ethics standards... this workgroup hopes to make a start toward answering that question.
Scope of work for this group is still under discussion with DLF. More information, including invitations to participate, will be forthcoming soon!
With gratitude,
Dorothea
