Archiving 2024 will feature two keynote presentations that promise to inspire and enlighten!
-Opening keynote Jeffrey Yoo Warren shares insights from his groundbreaking project, "Seeing Lost Enclaves," developed during his tenure as the Library of Congress's Innovator in Residence. Warren virtually reconstructs vanished communities of color using archival materials, offering a unique perspective on their significance, especially among Asian Americans. This project challenges archival invisibility and exclusion through relational reconstruction, providing immersive experiences that redefine traditional museum displays.
-We're also excited to welcome Santiago Lyon, head of advocacy and education for the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) at Adobe. With a remarkable career spanning 30 years in journalism, Lyon's journey—translating news in Central America to becoming Reuters' Chief Photographer for Mexico and Central America—showcases his unwavering commitment to authenticity and truth. Now, Lyon is leading the charge at Adobe's CAI to establish an open-source industry standard for verifying the origin and authenticity of images—a vital step in combating misinformation and ensuring content integrity.
Take advantage of these incredible opportunities to learn about cutting-edge approaches to preserving cultural heritage and ensuring content authenticity!
