Dear friends, I write to remind those of you who are interested in presenting a proposal or panel discussion at the DLF Spring 2002 Forum, to present proposals by Friday March 22, 2002. The spring forum will be held at the Wyndham in Chicago, on May 10-12, 2002. Papers and panel discussions may deal with any digital library topic. Papers and panels are particularly encouraged on interoperability - what it is, why it is significant for research libraries and their patrons, and how it may be achieved. This topic (as all others) may be approached from technological, organizational, definitional, political or other aspects. Proposals for presentations should be brief (c.250 words) and supply a title and short abstract along with the speaker's name. Proposals for panel discussions may be slightly longer. They should supply a title for the panel discussion, briefly outline its purpose, and supply the panelists' names alongside titles and short descriptions for their respective contributions. Proposals should be submitted electronically by March 22, 2002 to [log in to unmask] More details about the spring forum are available from http://www.diglib.org/forums/spr2002/spring2002.htm Kind regards, Dan Daniel Greenstein Director, Digital Library Federation 1755 Massachusetts Ave, NW #500 Washington DC 20036 (202) 939-4762
