I would make games for my friends, of course. :D Programming graphics was especially exciting (I loved cartridge Basic for the PCjr with its amazing 16 colors in 160x200 resolution and 3 sound channels). Then eventually the field got so diverse and people started to specialize, and I didn't keep up (though I was briefly excited with OpenGL during college).
