Partnerships in Innovation - Serving a Networked Nation National Archives at College Park, Maryland The University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland November 15-16, 2004 On behalf of the National Archives, I am most pleased to inform the Digital Library Federation of a forthcoming research symposium co-hosted in College Park, Maryland by the National Archives and the University of Maryland. The central theme of the "Partnerships in Innovation" symposium is the electronic records challenges confronting the nation are best addressed through partnerships, such as NARA enjoys with the Federation, that draw upon the innovative minds in universities, government agencies, and the private sector. The symposium will feature demonstrations and panel session contributions from the San Diego Supercomputer Center, MIT Libraries, LOCKSS-Stanford, DSpace-MIT, and DAITSS-The Florida Center for Library Automation, as well as from the Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Southern California, NASA, the Department of Energy and others on data grids, digital library prototypes, technology standards, semantic web technologies and scalable architectures.
