ISO Technical Committee 46 Subcommittee 11 on Archives / Records Management is distributing a survey being conducted by the eArchive Project of UN/CEFACT.  Two documents for this survey are attached -- one includes the questions and background explanations and one is a template to be completed and returned by the survey respondent.
 
The eArchiving project aims at defining a standard for exchanges between agencies and archives, in order to facilitate automatic transfers of records or archives (more information is available on http://www.cen.eu/UNcEFACTforum/TBG/tbg19.htm). In order to define the scope of the eArchiving project, a jurisdictional survey for the exchange of digital records is being conducted.This survey is intended for archives, records management services in agencies, storage service suppliers, related software vendors, and bodies involved in eGovernment policies.
 
If you wish to participate in this survey, please return the survey form directly to Andrew Waugh ([log in to unmask]) by January 15, 2007.  Do not return the form to NISO.  Feel free to forward the survey to any other organizations that you believe may  have an interest in responding.
