Programmer/Analyst (5337BR) - XML Metadata and Interface Specialist

New York University seeks a Programmer/Analyst to join the Digital Library Program as a specialist in XML metadata and interface design and development. The successful candidate will have a strong background in digital library development with a focus on the following areas:
 
 
In this role the successful candidate will design and develop systems that extract, generate or otherwise acquire metadata in XML form, process and store that metadata and then expose or deliver it to other systems or to users via web interfaces. The successful candidate will work with other developers to provide interfaces that integrate digital library and traditional library systems, and to design and develop user interfaces for digital library services. They will also work with librarians and other metadata creators and owners to provide interfaces for the creation and management of metadata for their collections.
