"Reminder: METS Opening Day 2007 at SUB Göttingen, Germany" The METS Editorial Board just wants to remind all interested users of the METS Opening Day being held on the 7th of May and the METS Implementors Meeting being held on the 8th of May at the Göttingen State and University Library (SUB Göttingen) in Germany. The METS Opening Day will provide an overview of the METS metadata schema, and discuss the basics of implementing digital library systems which use METS. The METS Implementors' Meeting (MIM) is an opportunity for METS community members to meet and talk about how they have implemented METS based systems, share profiles for METS XML Documents, and organize to work on the future development of METS as a standard.
