We are happy to announce the 2d of 9 Mellon Seminars in Digital
Humanities taking place at UCLA in real life (RL), and "broadcast" via
live feed Into the Digital Library Federation's (DLF)
<http://www.diglib.org/> Second Life (SL) island, Entropia.  The RL
participants will also see the SL audience, projected on a screen in the
UCLA Visualization Portal.

 

These Seminars, organized by Jeffrey Schnapp (Stanford) and Todd Presner

(UCLA) will take place at intervals during the 2008/2009 academic year.

The next Mellon seminar in Digital Humanities will take place on Wed,
Nov. 5th, in UCLA's "Visualization Portal" in 5628 Math and Sciences
(located two buildings south of the Humanities Bld, on the west side)
from 2-5 PM.  You will enter on the 5th floor (by the vending machines)
and will see posted signs to the Visualization Portal.  Our guest
