The Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities (MITH) is seeking a
full time Assistant Director<http://mith.umd.edu/about/jobs/assistant-director/>
 to help initiate and manage our projects, someone who will deepen the
expertise of our interdisciplinary team of humanities researchers and
developers and who will contribute to a creative, high-energy, and
team-oriented environment. The Assistant Director will generate grant
projects, work closely with MITH Fellows, and bear primary responsibility
for the supervision of MITH’s development team, which includes programmers,
web designers, graduate assistants, and interns.

The Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities (MITH) is a renowned
and rapidly growing research center that is helping to transform the
humanities in an era of new media and global information. We’re looking for
an Assistant Director to help initiate and manage our projects, someone who
will deepen the expertise of our interdisciplinary team of humanities
researchers and developers and who will contribute to a creative,
high-energy, and team-oriented environment.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred (preferably in the
Humanities, Library/Information Science, or a Technology-related field).
Work on at least one major digital humanities project. Familiarity with
software development and project management practices.

Salary range: $57,440-$71,800 commensurate with experience. The position
includes 20% personal research time that can be used for professional
