Dear all,

A pleasure speaking with you on the call today.

As mentioned on the call, the NDSA Joint Leadership Group will be pulling together a piece we are calling the 2014 National Agenda for Digital Stewardship.

The working groups are contributing ideas as to what emerging or existing topics require significant attention in the year ahead. The infrastructure piece of the document is loosely defined as follows:

c.	Infrastructure Development
i.	Infrastructure can be generally defined as the set of interconnected structural elements that provide framework supporting an entire structure of development. This includes both physical and institutional elements.
ii.	Examples:
*	Trends in data protection standards
*	Best practices for using cloud concepts within a digital preservation strategy
*	Cost-benefit analysis techniques for infrastructure planning

The Standards and Practices group has been brainstorming a bit already and have posted some of their ideas here: http://www.loc.gov/extranet/wiki/osi/ndiip/ndsa/index.php?title=National_Agenda_Standards_Brainstorm

It's a good model for identifying what the key issues might be and a good way to think about which topics should be included in the 2014 National Agenda and have more in-depth discussion.

All best,

Michelle
