Building on its world-renowned collection of scientific, technical and medical
(STM) literature, the British Library is developing new ways to engage with
scientists to facilitate and communicate cutting-edge research. This role
provides a unique opportunity for an experienced biosciences researcher to
work within an innovative, dynamic team to shape and deliver the Library's
work in this domain. This is a key role in a dynamic team which values
creativity and pro-active working. You will have the unique opportunity to
develop your own ideas into tangible outputs that fit with the Library's
strategy for supporting and promoting biomedical research in a digital age.

  
You will use your skills to undertake research projects, shape strategy and
support evolution of the British Library's offerings to the biosciences
community. In addition, you will manage and evolve an engagement programme of
biosciences-related consultations, events and social media.

  
With post-doctoral research experience, you will bring an understanding of the
current biosciences research landscape, including current practices, needs,
issues and emerging trends. You will have an interest in the rapidly changing
digital information and data environment and a passion for communicating
biosciences research to a range of professional audiences and the wider
public. Dynamic and confident, you will have the credibility and communication
skills needed to work with multiple stakeholders across the biomedical and
health research sector to identify opportunities and build relationships.
