Academic Technology Consultant Dartmouth College Hanover You: An inspired IT support professional who wants to help improve higher education, by providing stellar technology support to faculty. Us: The Educational Technologies Group at Dartmouth - a team of academic technology consultants and instructional designers, working together to support our faculty and their teaching. What you'll be doing: * Provide general hardware and software support to faculty in the Sciences - ranges from identifying and recommending solutions to troubleshooting * Support OS X, Windows, iOS, general productivity applications, educational applications (blogs, wikis, course management system…) * Be ready to answer or research questions ranging from the routine to the very, very specialized (software for very unusual lab equipment) * Represent your faculty and their computing needs * Work closely and collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless support experience * Build strong relationships with faculty You'll be right for this position if you: * have skills and experience in technology user support * enjoy working in a team, and sharing what you know * love working with people and helping them learn and navigate problems * have excellent communication skills * can quickly learn new and old technologies, and love doing so * have enthusiasm for education, learning, change * are always on the lookout for the latest and greatest in tech * feel flattered if someone calls you a geek Work environment: * A meaningful mission: Higher education * A great team of colleagues who have each other's back * A really nice office in our Sciences library.
