We use calcium calendar from black bear software. 

It's not free - but we have been using it for some time now. 

It has the ability to display RSS feeds so we use that for "today's hours" on our home page. We have 12 libraries - no two have the same hours . So, each library has its own calendar.  You can use Css to change the display, set permissions on calendars , etc
