Dear all,

We are delighted to announce that Eira Tansey will open Digital Preservation 2017<http://ndsa.org/meetings/> with a talk (title TBD) that will explore the relationship between environmental policy and the preservation of records, and what implications this has for the future of climate justice. Tansey is the Digital Archivist/Records Manager at the University of Cincinnati, where she is responsible for institutional records management, developing digital preservation policies, and working with born-digital archives. She previously worked at Tulane University Library’s Louisiana Research Collection, and has a B.A. in Geography from the University of Cincinnati, and an M.L.I.S. from San Jose State University’s School of Information. Her research and writing focuses on the intersection of archives, the environment, and climate change. Please read the full announcement<https://www.diglib.org/forums/2017forum/keynotes/> for more!

There's also still time to vote on proposals for Digital Preservation 2017 at https://voting.diglib.org/! There are a lot of great proposals to read through, and it's a terrific way to let the planning committee know which topics interest you the most. Vote by Monday, June 12!

All best,
Katherine
