After many years as an IETF Draft, the BagIt Specification is being prepared for submission as an IETF Internet Standard. This will be known as version 1.0. We are looking for your assistance in: * Giving the latest draft [1,2] a final proofread / review, especially the recently added ABNF descriptions. If you find any errors, please create an issue or submit a pull request [3]. If you have substantive recommendations / modifications, please hold on to them for a post 1.0 revision. * Reviewing the one significant change being considered in the latest draft. This change is requiring every payload file to be in every payload manifest. The motivation for this is that it reflects actual real world usage and reduces errors. However, it would mean that some existing bags may not be forward compatible with version 1.0. If you have comments on this, please add to this ticket [4]. We will be taking comments up to April 9. Thanks in advance for your assistance. --Justin Littman, on behalf of Chris Adams, David Brunton, John Kunze, and John Scancella [1] https://github.com/LibraryOfCongress/bagit-spec/tree/bagit1.0 [2] http://gwdev-justinlittman.wrlc.org/bagit.html [3] https://github.com/LibraryOfCongress/bagit-spec/issues [4] https://github.com/LibraryOfCongress/bagit-spec/issues/2
