Hi all -
A few bits of news from the Government Records Transparency and Accountability interest Group:
- This coming Thursday, April 12 at 1pm EDT, we're hosting a webinar on "Federal Records Transparency and Immigrant Justice," featuring Victoria López (senior staff attorney at the National Prison Project of the American Civil Liberties Union), Emily Creighton (Deputy Legal Director at the American Immigration Council) and Guillermo Cantor (Director of Research at the American Immigration Council). More details and information about how to tune in is available on the meeting agenda and our group's wiki.
- We recently posted, on the DLF's blog, a series of reflections on Endangered Data Week (EDW) 2018, including a post by Sheila Blackford on the Charlottesville Open Data Portal, a post by Joseph Koivisto on EDW at the University of Maryland, and a post by J. Matthew Huculak on using the video game Duck Hunt to highlight big questions about dangers to digital data. Keep an eye out later this week for the final post in this series, by Justin Schell, on EDW at Wayne State University.
Hope you're all hanging in,
Rachel
