It’s a busy spring for
DLF groups! At DLF, we are continually in awe
of the dedication and passion of our community. Tackling issues and projects that will impact the digital library community and beyond, these recent group activities are just a snapshot of overall DLF working group projects.
Help provide the metadata community with a central hub of varied example approaches to metadata guidance by submitting your institution’s metadata documentation to the DLF AIG Metadata Application Profile Clearinghouse Project.
The Project Managers Group kicked off their bi-monthly listserv discussions around topics like labor in digital work, service and portfolio management, and tools for project management. Join the listserv to read summaries and participate in the next discussion.
How do you record and report your stories about consulting and collaborating with faculty and students on research projects and instruction to show the impact of your work? What are possible career paths for professionals in digital scholarship? These are just a few questions that the Digital Scholarship Group members are asking and discussing. Participate in the conversation by joining their Google Group.

Contribute to the Digital Library Pedagogy Cookbook: The #DLFteach DLF Digital Library Pedagogy professional development and resource sharing subgroup invites all interested digital library pedagogy practitioners to contribute to the creation of an online, open, peer-reviewed resource focused on lesson plans and concrete instructional strategies. Check out the Call for Participation (deadline 5/31).
The #DLFteach Digital Primary Sources subgroup is currently working on a white paper on teaching with digital primary sources. It’ll come out soon, so stay tuned!
The Technologies of Surveillance Group seeks to establish guidelines for how to operationalize interrogation of technology, wherever we encounter it in our profession. Learn more at the Wiki and join the listserv to get involved!
The Born-Digital Access Group has been focusing their work this spring on applying NDSA’S Levels of Preservation documents to 6 components of access, as well as examining use cases and user needs when it comes to born-digital records. Join their Slack channel if you’d like to get involved.
