[please excuse cross-posting] Community, learning, discovery, and implementation: these were the prominent themes of the recent community meeting hosted by the Linked Data for Production (LD4P) (http://www.ld4p.org) and Linked Data for Libraries-Labs (LD4L-Labs) (http://wiki.duraspace.org/display/ld4lLABS) projects and supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. On the LD4 Workshop 2018 website (http://meeting.ld4p.org) you’ll find presentations and session notes (http://bit.ly/ld4notes) and the meeting agenda. Session topics included: —Case studies of linked data implementations in libraries —Linked data tools, editors, and ecosystems —Scalability and shareability of linked data —Working with Wikidata —Discovery and visualization with linked data —The role of communities in the adoption of linked data in libraries In the final session, participants discussed hopes for building a linked data community, and heard a preview of the next phase of LD4P.
