--- with apologies for cross-posting ----

Kia ora koutou katoa,

We are delighted to announce Dr. Rachael Ka’ai-Mahuta as a keynote speaker at the IIPC Web Archiving Conference (12-15 Nov 2018).

Rachael works at Te Ipukarea<http://www.teipukarea.maori.nz/the-team/dr-rachael-kaai-mahuta/>, the National Mâori Language Institute at the Auckland University of Technology. Her work looks at how technology is being utilised to revitalise and strengthen te reo Mâori as well as how indigenous peoples maintain community bonds through the use of technology. One of the points of focus for her at the conference will be exploring questions around self-determination as it applies to indigenous knowledge on the web. She is a perfect fit for the conference. To get a flavour of her work, have a look at this brilliant video she did for the NSLA Born Digital week (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDocFXLhOCI).
