Why Code4Lib?

Excellent keynote speakers! We're excited to welcome Safiya Noble, author of Algorithms of Oppression: How Search Engines Reinforce Racism, and Tara Robertson, Diversity & Inclusion Strategic Partner for Mozilla, to speak with us.

Tons of great content! We have twenty-two workshops to choose from this year, handlings topics from accessibility to digital preservation to linked data, all conveniently located at the conference hotel. Conference talks vary from discussions of ethics, machine learning, the GDPR, open access indexes, and more!

Great community events! From the Newcomer's Dinner where new attendees meet grizzled veterans, to Game Night, to a reception at The Tech Museum of Innovation, Code4Lib has a lot going on outside the main conference. We strive to be as fun and welcoming of a conference as possible, with a community-authored Code of Conduct.
