Please excuse cross-postings: IMLS Digital Assets Librarian Active - Regular full-time Professional Washington, DC, US Salary Range: 50000.00 To 55000.00 (USD) Annually OBJECTIVE A highly skilled and organized Digital Assets Librarian (DAL) will serve as the project leader to oversee a 3-year grant funded archives digitization project. The project will incorporate digitization technologies to process and digitize >100,000 items of typed and handwritten correspondence and photography. This project will preserve the key collections from the museum’s archives in perpetuity while facilitating access and discovery of the Phillips’s most-requested primary sources. The project will serve as the foundation for digital initiatives that coincides with the museum’s 100th anniversary in 2021, making accessible many of the important, revealing correspondences and stories behind the artwork in the museum’s collection. This project will be instrumental in bringing the collections into the 21st century.
