Subject: Apply Now for 2020 Leading Change Institute

The application period is now open for the Leading Change Institute (LCI), which will be held from May 31–June 5, 2020, in Washington, DC. This will mark the institute’s twentieth year.

Co-sponsored by the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) and EDUCAUSE, LCI brings together leaders in the information sector, including deans, librarians, and information technologists who seek to inspire, advocate for, and advance change in today’s rapidly changing higher education environment.

The institute takes on critical issues in higher education, such as new sources of competition, use of technology in teaching and learning, distance learning, changing modes of scholarly communications, and the increasing focus on the student experience. Institute fellows, together with deans Elliott Shore and Joanne Kossuth, and other thought leaders from the community, contemplate the impact of all of these issues and discuss effective approaches to leading during change. Speakers from a wide range of disciplines describe real-life issues being faced in their institutions and the Fellows are challenged to devise and propose solutions.

Applications are due January 17, 2020. For information about the selection process and tuition, and a link to the application form, visit the Apply page.
