In addition to providing project management and support, the Research Program Officer will think strategically about making Educopia research findings (and instruments) useful, relevant, and accessible. Working across Educopia's extensive community cultivation portfolio including affiliated communities and research projects, the Research Program Officer will deliver essential project management support for the Research & Strategy team.

Research Program Officer

Full-time, Exempt position

Responsible to: Jessica Meyerson, Educopia Director of Research & Strategy

Job Description

The Research Program Officer (RPO) will shape a new role within a nimble, growing organization and will be committed to the development and fulfillment of research objectives. In addition to providing project management and support, the RPO will participate in community management research and think strategically about how to make Educopia research findings (and instruments) useful, relevant, and accessible.

The RPO will be responsible for supporting the extensive portfolio of Educopia Research projects that focus on community cultivation work. The RPO will utilize relevant project management tools to prioritize, track, and maintain momentum for multiple concurrent projects. The RPO will be highly self-directed and will support an array of collaborative work with our project teams and partners.

The RPO role is a full-time, exempt position, and reports directly to the Director of Research & Strategy.




Work Environment

Educopia Institute is a distributed team, and candidates must be able to work remotely. Success working in a geographically distributed, collaborative, and research-intensive environment requires a demonstrated ability to accomplish timely, high-quality work, handle a variety of duties, adapt to changing priorities, work successfully in a team, and communicate effectively with all segments of an extended community.


Compensation and Application

Salary range is $50,000 - $55,000/year, commensurate with experience, with potential funding for travel and professional development. Benefits include 24 vacation days per year (accruing monthly) and 11 paid holidays, as well as insurance options and retirement match options.
