Greetings:

This email is intended to update the community on the current and future work of the DLF AIG Content Reuse Working Group. The group is in its first year of a 2.5 year grant project, titled “Digital Content Reuse Assessment Framework Toolkit (D-CRAFT)“, awarded in July 2019 by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) (LG-36-19-0036-19). Those interested in learning more about the project can see the DLF Blog post “Introducing D-CRAFT.”

D-CRAFT builds off of the successful Developing a Framework for Measuring Reuse of Digital Objects (Measuring Reuse) project, an IMLS grant initiative (LG-73-17-0002-17), which ran from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.

Content Reuse Working Group in 2020

The team is working on phase 1 (July 2019 – May 2021) activities, which will generate core content for D-CRAFT. These include:

The group plans to launch the toolkit in 2021.

How can you participate?

The D-CRAFT project will seek the input of communities throughout the span of the project. In particular, the project team will institute open comment and feedback periods to ensure that the broadest perspectives are incorporated into the Code of Ethics for Assessing Reuse, Recommended Practices, and Education and Engagement Tools. That valuable exchange will ensure that the deliverables from the project can be utilized by stakeholder communities to address topics related to reuse of digital assets. The D-CRAFT project team will release calls for public comment on prominent listservs as well as via its webpage
