April 15th in Vancouver British Columbia . . .
Security and Risk: the 4th Annual IT in Libraries Pre-Conference

This pre-conference will include a morning keynote from M Ryan Hess, Digital Initiatives Manager at Palo Alto City Library and many opportunities to collaborate and learn from colleagues through a number of breakout group discussions. Key topics will include: security, privacy and data, identity management, open infrastructure, recruitment and retention, building systems knowledge, and many more!

We hope to see IT staff who work with libraries, library staff who work with systems and technology, and all those interested in library technology.

There will be two travel and accommodation bursaries in the amount of $750 each for interested attendees from outside of the Lower Mainland. Please email Laurie Davidson ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) with an expression of interest by March 15 that includes your library name/location, and why you would like to attend this pre-conference session.

This event includes coffee breaks and lunch!

Registration opens on February 24 and closes on April 1.

The workshop will take place on April 15, from 9.30 am - 3.30 pm at Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel, Elmbridge Room.
