Registration is now open for the online #WeMissiPRES event on 22nd, 23rd and 24th September 2020!

About #WeMissiPRES

#WeMissiPRES is a celebration which brings the global digital preservation community together until we can meet again in person. This programme of talks and presentations is a chance to make sure all the hard work done this year is not lost. A chance to share and celebrate the amazing achievements of the digital preservation community in this most unusual year.

The program encompasses three half-days of online conversation and debate using Zoom. The timings of each half-day have been optimised for different time-zones around the world. This event will take place in English.

We will be meeting online. All are welcome.

#WeMissiPRES has been organized by a group of friends of iPRES. But we still need help! We will need chairs, discussants and prompters to help keep us on track. If you would like to offer your assistance, please email [log in to unmask].

How to Register

Registration is open to all, free-of-charge. Places are plentiful but limited*, so early registration is essential and we strongly encourage you to show up. *In the event that places ‘sell-out’ you will also be able to follow the event through the livestream.

Each of the three half-days takes place at a different time, optimised for different time-zones around the world. You are welcome to register for each of the three days, but please do check the timings before you do.

When you register we will ask you to indicate which streams you would like to attend each day. Don’t worry about missing out on the others though, as we will also be livestreaming all of the presentations each day and they will be recorded so that you can catch up with anything you miss.

The digital preservation community is inclusive, encourages diversity in all its forms and is open to everyone who wishes to engage with the topic of digital preservation. We ask all those attending this #WeMissiPRES event to be positive, accepting, and sensitive to the needs and feelings of others in alignment with the values stated in the DPC Inclusion & Diversity Policy. Please see the guidelines for Hosts, Chairs, Speakers and Participants for more information.
