Dear colleagues, The DLF Born-Digital Access Working Group is excited to announce the release of our group’s Access Values: https://osf.io/ed7vk/ The Born-Digital Access Working Group <https://wiki.diglib.org/Born-Digital_Access_Working_Group> began meeting regularly in 2017. As we approached the completion of our now-finished initial projects (Levels of Born-Digital Access <https://osf.io/r5f78/>; Access Practices Survey <https://osf.io/wd29k/>), we saw an opportunity to define our overall ethos and relationship to access on a high level. Through our Access Values statement, we aim to establish a shared set of community values around digital access, especially with regard to born-digital archival collection material. We also hope this document provides further context for the DLF Born-Digital Access Working Group’s outputs and acts as a guide for taking on future community activities. We thank everyone who provided comments and feedback during our review periods in 2019 and 2020.
