Completing the set for all six awards categories, finalists for The DPC Award for the Most Outstanding Digital Preservation Initiative in Commerce, Industry and the Third sector are now revealed, with two exceptional initiatives which demonstrate
digital preservation excellence in agencies that would not traditionally be considered to be ‘memory institutions.’
Finalists for The DPC Award for the Most Outstanding Digital Preservation Initiative in Commerce, Industry and the Third sector are (in no particular order):

William Kilbride, Executive Director of the DPC said: "I am delighted that the Digital Preservation Awards can support and share the work of these two finalists, each of which demonstrates the critical nature of digital preservation activities
in their own contexts, where collection and preservation are not their core mandate."
Before the judges decide on the winners, members of the Digital Preservation Coalition will be invited to cast their vote on each category once all the finalists have been announced. Members will be asked to select their first and second
choices for each category and are asked to provide feedback to the finalists. Each Full Member, Associate and Allied Organisation of the DPC may submit one vote.
DPC Member voting will open later today, Wednesday 16th September 2020.
The digital preservation community will also have chance to hear about the work of the finalists, as they will be invited to form part of the #WeMissiPRES program dedicated to showcasing
‘The Best of Digital Preservation in 2020’ on Wednesday 23rd September 2020.
Finalists will then wait until the World Digital Preservation Day on 5th November 2020 when winners will be revealed as part of an online celebration with the
digital preservation community, friends, family and peers from leading organisations.

ways the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) helps to raise awareness of the strategic, cultural, and technological issues which make up the digital preservation challenge.
