Sharing the announcement of the launch of digitalpasifik.org - an initiative of the Australian Government, National Library of Australia and Te Puna Mâtauranga o Aotearoa, the National Library of New Zealand, to "develop a shared online place that seeks to make visible and accessible the digitized records of Pacific cultural heritage, held around the world, so that people in and of Pacific can connect with their stories." https://natlib.govt.nz/about-us/media/new-website-connects-to-pacific-cultural-heritage-collections-from-across

The beta aggregate site was developed over the last 6 months using Supplejack, DigitalNZ’s tool for aggregating metadata records. More content will be added in the coming year.

The About section provides some insights into the development and principles of the project. The Partners section has details if you would like to contribute content from the Pacific Islands held in your collections.

And there is promo video that premiered at the celebration event: https://youtu.be/vv5fSguATqQ

Please share broadly, and I’d be happy to share any feedback with the co-design group, if you’d like to contact me off-list.

Best,

-Cristela
