NISO’s annual training series on assessment practices and metrics are a perennial favorite with the library community. This year, our regular facilitator Martha Kyrillidou is switching things up a bit! Building on the success of previous series she plans to provide a more participatory and interactive experience of improving assessment planning in libraries.

The ultimate goal of the next Assessment Practices and Metrics for the 21st Century: A 2021 Participatory Learning Experience training series is to create a community of learning, including mentoring and sharing meaningful professional experiences, so that participants can better understand and support each other during and after their training. So, as well as participating in the weekly one-hour facilitated sessions, participants will also be expected to prepare their own reflections and content to share with the larger group every week. Martha will also provide interactive exercises for improving assessment practice in participants’ own libraries.

Assessment Practices and Metrics for the 21st Century: A 2021 Participatory Learning Experience will take place over eight weekly sessions, running from April 1 to May 27 (times and days vary).

To get the best price for this participatory training series, you’ll want to take advantage of the early bird rate. Book your place(s) here, but do it now. Availability of that rate ends on March 19! Please note that, to ensure a truly participatory and interactive experience, there is a 20-person limit for this training series.
