The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) welcomes the University of Calgary, as they become the Coalition's newest Associate Member.<https://www.dpconline.org/news/new-members-of-the-dpc/ucalgary-joins-dpc> "As University of Calgary Libraries and Cultural Resources (LCR) develops its digital preservation roadmap, it is vital that its decision-making in these areas draw from rigorous international communities of practice," explains Susan Powelson, Associate University Librarian. "The DPC has positioned itself as a key resource for cutting-edge practical guidance and collaboration, drawing together the expertise of globally recognized memory institutions. The capacity to learn from and engage with allied institutions worldwide through DPC Associate Membership is a core requirement for our digital preservation efforts." Juan Bicarregui, Chair of the DPC was delighted with the news, saying: "The team at Calgary have a clear plan and energy behind achieving their digital preservation goals.
