The Syracuse University Libraries invites applications from creative and inquisitive individuals to join our newly-formed Department of Digital Stewardship as our Digital Preservation Librarian. The successful applicant will work closely with our small – but dedicated – cross-organizational Digital Library Program team to produce, manage, create access to, and preserve our digital content across a variety of platforms and services that comprise our digital library infrastructure. In particular, the Digital Preservation Librarian will lead the Libraries’ digital preservation efforts to ensure long-term preservation and persistent access to the Libraries’ unique digitized and born-digital content, act as the Libraries’ expert in digital preservation practices and processes, and serve as the platform manager for the Libraries’ digital preservation system (Preservica).
