The BitCurator Consortium <https://bitcuratorconsortium.org/> and the
Digital Preservation Coalition’s Web Archiving & Preservation Working Group
<https://www.dpconline.org/digipres/waptf> are hosting a community
discussion on preservation of WARCs
<https://bitcuratorconsortium.org/warc-preservation-discussion-hosted-by-bcc-and-the-web-archiving-preservation-working-group-of-the-dpc/>
(the Web ARChive file format) on June 14 at 12pm ET | 4pm UTC. (See your
local time for this event <https://dateful.com/eventlink/1117660605>)

The digital curation community has discussed at length how to collect
websites as WARC files, but what is the next step in the preservation
workflow for these types of files? There is no one-size-fits-all approach
to preserving WARCs, and questions of organization, structure, metadata,
and access emerge when considering the options. Web archives may be your
core focus, or they may exist in the context of a range of digital
preservation activities. No matter what your – or your organization’s –
situation is, we’d love to hear from you and learn more about what you’re
doing and the questions you’re facing.

You must register to join this discussion, but you do not need to be a BCC
or DPC member to be part of the call!
