We are delighted to confirm that the 2023 IIPC Web Archiving Conference (WAC) will be hosted May 11-12 at the Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision in Hilversum, the Netherlands. WAC 2023 will be co-organized by the Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision and KB, National Library of the Netherlands. In addition to our in-person conference, we are also accepting submissions of talks and panels for a virtual day of sessions (final date TBC).

The annual International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) conference brings together the world’s experts in web archiving. While it usually attracts the international community of web archiving practitioners, it is intended for an even wider audience including archivists, curators, software developers, researchers interested in working with digital content, and digital preservationists.

This year’s conference title is Resilience and Renewal. The WAC 2023 Program Committee invites proposals related to seven broad themes: Access, Collections, Community, Program Operations, Research, Sustainability, and Tools. More details about the suggested topics as well as submission guidelines are available on the conference website: https://netpreserve.org/ga2023/cfp/

The deadline for submitting proposals is by the end of the day on November 1, 2022 (UTC-12).

For updates, please follow the conference website (netpreserve.org/ga2023) and Twitter (@netpreserve, #iipGA23, #iipcWAC23, #iipc20Years).

We look forward to seeing you in-person and online this May!
