The Metadata Working Group of the DLF Assessment Interest Group is
developing an evaluated list of recommended skillbuilding resources and
tutorials on technologies relevant to metadata evaluation. The working
team has developed an initial list of individual tutorials that will be
presented on the working group’s website in the near future. In
addition, several sites that contain many tutorials or reference guides
(such as W3C schools or Library Carpentry) will be listed as “meta”
sites to search for more resources. Each tutorial was evaluated by a
team member and is described according to several characteristics
including type of technology or skill, experience level, and prerequisites.

The working group is asking for any additional recommendation of
tutorials to evaluate. An in-progress draft of the initial list can be
seen at:

The categorization and evaluations are still subject to editing, but the
working group has agreed that the tutorials on this list should be included.

If you know of a resource you think would be a good fit in one of the
following categories, please email [log in to unmask] or
[log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>with the name and link to the
tutorial along with the technology or skill taught and a brief
description of why you think it is valuable.
