Posted on behalf of the Northern Ohio Technical Services Librarians Board;
please pardon any duplication.

NEW FOR FALL 2022: We are now offering two group rate options! If you have
any questions regarding registering at either group rate, or you have
already registered and are hoping to add more registrants from your
institution, please contact NOTSL Treasurer Laura Maidens at
[log in to unmask] and we will work with you to find a solution.

Option 1: Group - Together. For institutions registering two or more people
who will take part together on the same device, we are offering a rate of
$50 for the group. This option allows for a single Zoom login, so please
register with the contact information of the person who will be responsible
for logging in. Attempting to open the link with a different email will not
work. Attempting to open the link on more than one computer will ask the
first logged in account to close their window.

Option 2: Group - Individual. For institutions registering three or more
people who will take part individually on separate devices, we are offering
a discounted rate of $20 per individual. Individuals must be registered in
one transaction using “Group rate - Individual” and this ticket option only
applies if at least three tickets are selected using this option.

Registration is now open for the Northern Ohio Technical Services
Librarians’ virtual Fall meeting. “Migration Station: Tips & Tricks to
Manage Your Data,” will be held December 16, 2022, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST,
via Zoom.

Kyle Banerjee, Senior Implementation Consultant at EBSCO FOLIO Services and
author of The Data Wrangler’s Handbook, will present “Getting Ready for the
Big Move.” Libraries move to new systems to deliver better services to
users. But what does that mean for purposes of preparing to migrate? Learn
what you need to think about and how to prepare your data to achieve the
best results possible.

Theda Schwing, Associate Director of Discovery and Delivery at OhioLINK
will deliver a presentation titled, “A Marathon, Not a Sprint: The OhioLINK
RFP Process.” OhioLINK is currently in the middle of a Request for Proposal
(RFP) process to select an Integrated Library System (ILS) for its member
libraries. This presentation will discuss the background, timeline, and
complexities involved in considering a change of ILS on the consortial
scale.

Wes Osborne, Executive Director at the Central Library Consortium, will
present “Lessons Learned from a Decade of System Migrations.” Wes has been
a part of nearly a dozen system migrations while working in ILS System
Administration. He'll share insights learned over the years and you'll hear
about a time he was cussed at over a data migration issue!

At the Business Meeting (open to all!), Erin Kilkenny will present a short
summary of the NOTSL futures survey we sent out in September. Thank you to
everyone who participated!

Non-group registration per individual is $25, or $10 for students and
retirees. For all registrations, please be aware Eventbrite charges a
non-refundable processing fee that will affect the total purchase price.
Please visit https://notsl.org for full program information and to
register. The deadline to register is December 9.
