The IGeLU Linked Open Data Community of Practice

will hold a community event on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 11AM ET via
Zoom. Jim Hahn, University of Pennsylvania, will give a presentation on “A
Sinopia, Marva and Alma Linked Data Implementation.” This talk will first
review available linked data affordances within Alma. Thereafter we
demonstrate how linked data descriptions from Sinopia and Marva can be
posted into the Alma system as either enriched MARC or as native Library of
Congress RDF/XML BIBFRAME. The process relies on existing APIs in Alma and
integration approaches within each linked data editor. Normalization
approaches described include the development of dataflows that support
RESTful web services.
