As part of our growing
awards program,
The Library Publishing Coalition (LPC) is pleased to call for nominations for the annual
Award
for Outstanding Scholarship in Library Publishing and applications for the annual
Publishing Practice Awards.
Both of these awards are open to LPC members and non-members alike.
The Library Publishing Coalition offers the Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Library Publishing to encourage research, theory, and innovative practice in library publishing services.
As participation in library publishing grows, the development of a strong evidence base to inform best practices and demonstrate impact is essential, and so the Award recognizes the best library publishing–related publication from the preceding calendar year.
To recognize and raise awareness of library publishing programs that exemplify effective and sustainable publishing practices, the Library Publishing Coalition (LPC) is pleased to
support the Publishing Practice Awards. The focus of these awards is not on publication content but on the process of publishing the piece. This year the award categories are
accessibility; diversity, equity, and inclusion; privacy; and innovation.
The deadline for nominations and applications for these awards is January 16, 2023. Award recipients will be officially announced in the spring. Email

LPC news at www.librarypublishing.org.
The Library Publishing Coalition (LPC) is an independent, community-led membership association of academic and research libraries and library consortia engaged in scholarly publishing. We welcome strategic
affiliate relationships with other membership organizations with similar values and interests, and relationships with publishers and service providers who are interested in working with the community of library publishers.
