Hi Louise, Thank you for your thoughts. I've learned I need a C to USB-A cable ro adapter to attach the cell to an older laptop. I borrowed such a cable and it works flawlessly. Glad I can reach out to caring fellow librarians as Samsung has proved no tech help for myself or patrons needing tech help. Thank you again fir your understanding and kind help. Charles. Sounds like yours might be a micro-USB? You’d just need to get a micro-USB to USB-A (what your computer has) adapter. Usually the cell phones come with such an adapter cable?
