Hi, I'm sure you've seen the request for volunteers to help out with the conference next week. This is a more specific ask: Please sign up to work a shift at registration on Wednesday March 15 or Thursday March 16. https://wiki.code4lib.org/2023_Conference_Volunteers#Conference_Logistics_.26_Registration As a registration volunteer, you'll help set up the registration table, signage and welcome packets, ensure proper power availability to conference attendees, and just generally help the conference get off to a great start. Also, it's a great, low-pressure way to meet your colleagues. They'll walk up to you, there's a table between you and them, and you get to help them. There are two morning slots open, and if someone wants to take one of the spots I've already volunteered for, I'd not object. This is a job I like to do, but I won't hog all the fun. * 8am - 9am Wednesday, day one * 8am - 9am Thursday, day two I'm looking forward to seeing y'all! Oh, and while you're looking at the volunteer sign-up page, you should really consider signing up for any of the remaining things that need volunteers. --Hardy
