Hi Kate,

We found that this can be tricky. Using the Single Course tool requires that the faculty member re-link the chosen content every semester if they are copying their shells over for the new class, something few of our faculty realized or continued doing, leading to a lot of dead links in Blackboard.

The Automagic Tool looks like it would work a lot better, it requires more work on the Library's end, as well as getting each faculty member to let you know which content they want tagged with their course number, but copying a shell with this type of linking maintains the content from copy to copy. So more work up front, but less ongoing work.

We set up the Single Course, but have not had time to work with the Automagic Tool yet. I've attached our instruction guide that was created with screen shots for our faculty.

Hydy

Hello everyone,

We have some interest from the larger institution outside the library to better integrate the library into Blackboard. We are considering the built-in Learning Tools Interoperability in LibApps but it would help too to see examples of it in action, even if they are just static screenshots. Or, if you're doing something else, I'd love to hear about it. If you're willing to share, please feel free to contact me either at this email or my work email [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> .
