Subject: DANNNG Tool Selection Factors ready for your critical eye and insightful review
If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the follow-up to DANNNG’s Disk Imaging Decision Factors, get ready: the Tool Selection Factors guide is ready for community review. This guide is a companion to comprehensive tool registries and sample published workflows. Specifically, the guide offers readers a list of criteria by which one can evaluate tools to support a range of digital archives workflow tasks and offers a methodology for systematically understanding which factors are important in a local context. We are releasing it for community review, accepting comments until September 29, 2023.
