Basic z39.50 commands which you can use with the Yaz client (for a PC)
from the command prompt are (based on our library catalogue):

1. Open a connection:

    open tcp:zconn.lib.monash.edu.au:7090

2. Select the correct database:

    base voyager

3. Do an author search

   find @attr 1=1003 smith

4. Change format

   format usmarc

5. Show results

    show
   (or show 3)

6. Show some holdings records

   format opac
   show
