SYSTEM/NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
Interested in building an online digital repository? Want to work
with GIS? BCR, a nonprofit library cooperative based in Aurora,
Colorado, wants to expand its technology initiatives and seeks an
experienced System/Network Administrator to manage multiple
servers in a Windows server environment with approximately 60
workstations. Knowledge of Linux a plus. Responsible for
resolution of network issues, troubleshooting of operating
systems, ensuring servers are up and running optimally and
downtime is kept to a minimum.
The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in technology
and in library services. An MLS plus extensive experience with
servers, networks and workstations in a library or nonprofit
environment is desirable. Attention to detail and ability to
write clear documentation is required. Other desirable skills
include hands-on experience with DNS, Web service architecture,
network infrastructure, security fundamentals, networks and
TCP/IP. Responsible for network environment in office, including
e-mail.
Compensation: Beginning salary $65,000

Minimum requirements: Tech college, AA or Bachelor's degree in
computer-related field. 3-5 years progressive experience in
information technology, including experience with system
administration, Internet information services, computer
networking and e-mail. MLS plus experience in information
technology is acceptable equivalent.
