Hi Michael,

I certainly hope you succeed in your persuasive efforts. :)

I would be thinking along the lines that if the image is mostly text,
and the text is obviously trying to convey some sort of availability
of an electronic version of the article/abstract etc, so why not
encode the AVAILABILITY in the marc record. perhaps in the 856.  This
would make the data far more portable and reusable, and would separate
the data from the view. It would also negate any need to put
potentially ugly/destructive/unpalatable/etc html in the marc record.

Less is more :)
