Code4Libbers,
Thanks to everyone who responded to my inquiry below! We've had an overwhelmingly positive response from the community for this so far, and as such we're in the process now of figuring out logistics for a regional Mid-Atlantic conference. I don't want to give out too many details yet, but our timeline currently is to make an official announcement sometime around mid-March. Again, thank you for the responses and I'll be letting the list know soon about the details.

Subject: Code4Lib Mid-Atlantic conference (Philadelphia, PA)
Code4Libbers,
During discussions for upcoming conferences here at Villanova University the ideas was proposed for holding a regional Code4Lib in the Philadelphia area (working name: Code4Lib Mid-Atlantic). The ideas would be to hold the conference here at Falvey Library at Villanova University in our newly opened conference space, with the tentative date around fall 2012,
Before we really begin discussion and planning though, I wanted to get a headcount of people and/or institutions who would be interested in attending. If you would be, just send me a quick email at [log in to unmask] and let me know, as a tentative headcount would go far in determining the viability of the conference, and the resources and labor needed to make sure we could accommodate all who were interested. Also, if you have strong opinions on what you would like to see/gain from a Code4Lib Mid-Atlantic, feel free to add that in to your response (although just a quick "I'm interested" will work fine too). Really REALLY strong opinions may be sent in all caps and boldened, at your discretion.
