Information Systems Developer and Integrator
PALS at Minnesota State University, Mankato has an opening for an Information Systems Developer and Integrator, permanent, classified Information Technology Specialist for statewide library systems. The position exists to create and provide technical support, administration, and maintenance for statewide information systems.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or 2 years of current IT experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience with the following is required: a) C/C++, Java, or other compiled programming language, b) PERL, PHP or other scripting language, c) PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational database, and d) Unix or Linux operating systems. Ability to read and interpret detailed technical information. Excellent communication (oral and written) and human relations skills.
Desired: Knowledge of the following is highly desirable: a) IT concepts, principles, and practices sufficient to plan and carry out assignments and develop new methods, approaches, and procedures, b) knowledge of libraries and library information systems, c) experience working with a Digital Asset Management System, d) experience working with Drupal or other Content Management System, e) experience with Unix or Linux system administration, f) experience with network administration, g) experience working with solr database, and h) experience with all components of the LAMP solution stack.
